Katanya, Jogja disebut sebagai kota seni dan budaya. Terlihat jelas dari kekentalan budayanya yang sampai sekarang masih menjadi suatu daya tarik dari kota ini yang setiap harinya terus mengundang wisatawan dalam negeri maupun mancanegara. Banyak sekali bangunan tua yang menggambarkan kemurnian seni dan budayanya, sebut saja Tamansari, Keraton, dan masih banyak lagi tentunya. Tapi, disamping itu, tempat seni seperti apa lagi sih yang ada di Jogja? Jawabannya adalah art space! Untuk penikmat karya-karya seni tentu akan suka untuk mengulik art space yang ada di Jogja. Saya mengiyakan perjalanan hunting foto ke art space ini liburan semester lalu bersama teman saya yang merupakan perantau disana. Inilah beberapa tempat yang saya kunjungi dalam 5 hari di Jogja.

ART JOG

Art Jog adalah sebuah acara yang diadakan setiap tahunnya di Jogja, memamerkan karya-karya seni dari berbagai seniman Indonesia. Art Jog tahun 2017 ini diadakan di Museum Nasional Jogja yang tepatnya beralamat di Jl. Prof. Ki Amri Yahya No. 1 (dekat SMAN 1 Jogja). Tahun ini, Art Jog mengusung tema Changing Perspective.

Art Jog ini berlangsung selama kurang lebih 1 bulan, dari tanggal 20 Mei - 19 Juni 2017. Venue mulai dibuka dari pukul 10.00-22.00. Dengan harga tiket 50.000 rupiah, kalian bisa sepuasnya mengeksplor disana. Tiket ini berlaku untuk 1 hari, jadi pengunjung boleh untuk keluar dari venue dan masuk lagi di lain waktu pada hari yang sama. Art Jog tahun ini terbagi dalam 3 lantai pameran, food tenants, dan merchandise store. 

Selain dalam bentuk lukisan, instalasi seni, Art Jog ini juga menampilkan karya seni yang berbentuk film. Total seniman yang dipamerkan karyanya adalah sejumlah 59. Disamping pameran karya, Art Jog menyediakan program tambahan seperti curratorial tour, meet the artist, tour sejarah ASRI dan special performances. 

Curratorial tour ini mengajak pengunjung untuk berkeliling ruang pameran bersama tim kurator Art Jog sembari diberikan penjelasan mengenai konsep dari karya-karya yang ada. Meet the artist adalah fasilitas partisipan untuk bertemu dan berdiskusi secara langsung dengan seniman yang terlibat dalam Art Jog. Sedangkan tour sejarah ASRI (Akademi Seni Rupa Indonesia) adalah mengulik sejarah institusi seni pertama di Indonesia yang dulunya bertempat di Museum Nasional Jogja. Selain menampilkan karya dalam sebuah pameran, Art Jog juga memberikan fasilitas bagi seniman untuk menampilkan karya-karya berupa seni musik, tari, dan seni pertunjukkan dalam special performance yang diadakan setiap akhir pekan.

SANGKRING ART SPACE

Sangkring ini beralamat di Jl. Nitiprayan RT 1 RW 20 No. 88, Ngestiharjo, di daerah Kasihan, Bantul. Sangkring ini adalah sebuah galeri di dalam bangunan 2 lantai. Di keduanya, dipamerkan karya-karya seni berupa lukisan. Waktu saya kesana, Sangkring ini lebih kepada satu ruangan yang besar tanpa ada instalasi di bagian tengahnya. Namun, instalasi di Sangkring ini berubah-ubah, tidak selalu sama.

Selain galeri yang ada di dalam, Sangkring juga menaruh instalasi seninya di luar, di bagian belakang bangunan. Informasi lebih lanjut dapat dilihat di website Sangkring yaitu http://sangkringart.com/.

SARANG BUILDING ART SPACE

Art space satu ini terletak tidak terlalu jauh dari Sangkring, tepatnya di Jl. Kalipakis, Tirtonirmolo, di daerah Bantul. Perjalanannya saya tempuh dalam waktu sekitar 15 menit. Katanya, Sarang Building ini belum terlalu terkenal sehingga waktu saya kesana tempat ini sangat sepi, bahkan hanya ada saya, teman saya dan 2 pengunjung lain saat itu. Selain estetik, tempat ini juga nyaman, sejuk dan adem karena dihiasi banyak tumbuhan, dan jika diamati memang terlihat seperti sebuah sarang, bagus untuk kalian yang suka foto-foto. Ditambah lagi, tidak ada biaya masuk tempat ini, alias masih gratis!

Sepertinya, Sarang Building ini akan mulai dikembangkan oleh pemiliknya, yang kebetulan bertemu dengan saya waktu itu. Katanya, ia berencana untuk menambahkan sebuah kafetaria, mungkin semacam tempat ngopi, supaya pengunjung yang datang kesana dapat menghabiskan waktu lebih lama dan dapat melakukan hal lain sembari menikmati suasananya. i can already imagine you walking down the street of my lifelong dream and getting lost in your own thought "this is where i belong", and on the other side of the world, i will be having my time daydreaming, in the usual crowd with everyone around me, and i will think to myself, regardless, "isn't this where she belongs?" but in a real quick second my head will remind itself all the things you had said to me, every single thing i had always known, those soon-to-be-real wishes on your wall, and in that second too i will realise it is just my attempt to escape from something i could not avert, "oh my God, i just wish you were here."

On your bicycle you explore every block in the neighbourhood, the afternoon weather making you lost in serenity, you didn't want the darken sky to bring you back home. Or some other times, you just made yourself go down the road and stepped into the local park, you never loved walking that much. There was a certain happiness that made you smile at the end of the day, a kind you didn't know you would be losing by time. And when the sun started rising and the sound of interfering alarm from your mom's voice began ringing, the sunlight was warm enough to wake you up. Remember how the morning breeze felt so soothing? What a great way to start off a journey. You never had spirit that much.

Look how crowded the roads are, the wheels barely move, you only have to hit the brake.

Try to think again; lots of vehicles then lots of gas emissions.

Fossil fuels are not only used in transportation, but also in electricity generation, and industrial processes.Gasses such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxides, and halocarbons are primarily produced by human activities. These gasses are surely needed to prevent the earth's temperature from going zero, but what happens now is that there is too much of it that it only makes the earth overheating.

Gasses emitted from fossil fuels do have negative impacts on environment -- despite they demand great costs for reducing -- they cause air pollution. In that way, those gasses directly affecting people's health, bringing them breathing problems. Even worse, these gasses are one of the reasons behind the rise of the earth's temperature, because they work in such a way that prevents the heat from going back out of the atmosphere, causing the earth to gets warmer. Have you ever taken a second to glance at your left or right side on (some) highways and look just how green they are? or simply on parks in your town, on the sidewalks.. the trees are making the air feels mild. 
Now they are gone, you find yourself sweating.

Trees are really needed on this planet, those beings are playing an important role as the earth's lungs. As simple as converting carbon dioxides to oxygens, if all forests in the world unite together then what a really amazing job they are doing. Since humans are still careless about their environment, they keep producing carbon dioxides (mostly) on their (every day) traffic jams, and the most helping weapons we can have to fight it back are trees.

But no creatures have been more greedy than humans, i suppose, they don't even think of the solutions for the problems they make. Instead of planting trees, they burn the forests instead. (I don't think i can ever understand this kind of thing humans do). See this size of deforestation in 21st century.

Based on the data released by NASA,  and from what i read from National Climatic Data Center; even though it is different in every region, but the globally-averaged temperature in March - May 2015 across land surfaces and world's oceans is the largest on record. (ncdc.noaa.gov)

The rise of the earth's temperature is really, really bad. The cute looking polar bears, they are losing their habitats. As the icebergs in arctic start melting, it brings the world to another problem, the rise of sea level. You do know that two-third part of the world is covered by water, have you ever imagined being drown in a really great flood just as wide as an ocean? It is definitely not a good occasion.

On my bicycle i track down the streets of my town, the air i breathe resembles smoke - maybe too much - and the wind doesn't familiarly wash my face off anymore. As the sun starts hiding itself, the sound of horns and empty yells only make me want to rush home as fast as 3 x 10⁸ m/s². Sidewalks don't look better though, treated badly by those careless hands. I never hate walking this much. When the morning comes to greet me, seems like it has no way of giving me sparks like it used to, i am fine not going anywhere. I never lose spirit this much.

This place - this earth - is not the same place we knew years back then. Gaze into those memories again, and think, how much are you missing that smell of twilight? So distinctive. This is the place we spend every second of our lives and our children' too. How are we going to see it breaking down in hands of the selfish?

Now, people, are you going to keep sitting calm there, or even walk away leaving your burdens far behind your shadows of what you're not supposed to bring off? Well, it is an absolute shameless thing to do.
